Morocco Road trip, day 3. April 2011

Here we have the pictures of the third day of our Morrocan Road Trip. It was the SUV-day, we rented a SUV with the goal to cross the Sahara and drive  through the dunes.
We suffered a sandstorm during half the day. We had lunch with nomads who live in the desert. Afterwards, we crossed part of the Sahara to the Erg Chigaga dunes, 300 meters of dunes (the highest in Morocco). When we arrived to the camp, where the Jaima (Moroccan tent) is in the middle of Erg Chigaga, the sandstorm ended. We went to the top of the dunes with dromedaries, where we watched the sunset.
Later, we ate a Tajine, indulged in starwatching outside of the Jaima and fell asleep. In the middle of the Sahara, far away from the cities, almost alone.
Soon, pictures of the fourth day of the Moroccan road trip.

  1. Beautiful photos as always. Is there some kind of filter you use, to get this look of your photos?

  2. Thanks, Well, the first pictures that I was editing and posting on the blog, I’m talking one or two months ago, I was using filters, but to much. Nowadays I prefer not to use filters in all the pictures. There are pictures that I took with a compact camera, then theses ones I used some filter. The ones that I used the Nikon D70, sometimes I use a tonal contrast filter. With the goal to give more detail of the objects. Also, depending the picture,I gave a little bit of color or some shadows. I wish that I help you with my explication. If you have any question more, just write! 🙂 Gremo slovensko!!!

The smells, colors, the architectural, local people, the food and more hundreds small details that you feel there. Congratulations for your blog, I really like it and I felt the dynamism during my visit.
