Day 11, Tokio part II

Day 11, Tokio part II

We woke up around 9am. We had breakfast with Ryo, our Japanese friend, before going to Tokyo. Today we decided to go to Akihabara and red district light, Kabukicho neighborhood.

We spent the morning on street market which is open from monday to friday, from 8am till 2pm. After that we decided to go to Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum where it was a long cue. Finally, we visited a gallery of Japanese architecture  Then, we went to had lunch. We ate swordfish, probably the best fish that we ate on our lives.

The afternoon it was time to go to Akihabara neighborhood. On the 60’s Akihabara it was the black market where you could fine second hand electronic stuff. Nowadays, it’s a neighborhood which is full of manga stores, home cafe (we recommend 100% to go to one of this home cafe 🙂 ) and still second hand store where you can buy wherever you want.

It was time to go for dinner. We got the recommendation to go to Shinjuku Neighborhood. We had dinner there. There are full of narrow street where the salary man get drunk after the job. After amazing meal, we went around to Kabukicho. This is an extraordinary neighborhood full of lights and night atmosphere.

Late at night, we went back home to Shin-Yokohama to drink one beer with great company, Ryo and Kyoe.

Recommendations in Tokio:

– Visit the street market of Ueno Neighborhood

– Spend a night on a Capsule Hotel

– Get lost on the Manga stores at Akihabara

– Go at night at the red district light, Kabukicho

We consider enthusiastic, dynamic and crazy to learn what we like. Few days after of we met each other we made our first trip together. After this trip we couldn’t stop travelling. Travel is our lives and picturing what we see our hobby.
